Visit by Gillian Merron MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office to the BVI In April

Tuesday, March 24 – The Governor’s Office is pleased to announce that the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Minister, Gillian Merron, will be visiting the British Virgin Islands in April. This will be the first Overseas Territory that the Minister has visited since being appointed Minister for the Overseas Territories on 5 October 2008.

As well as the Overseas Territories, the Minister’s responsibilities include South America, the Caribbean and Central America, Australasia and the Pacific, Consular policy, Olympics, Protocol, Human Resources and Diversity. The Minister also leads on Africa, Human Rights, Global Issues and the Commonwealth in the House of Commons.
