What is the Official Gazette?

The Official Gazette is the Official publication of the Government of the Virgin Islands (UK). It contains Government, Statutory, Liquidation, and Other Notices. Bills, Acts, Statutory Instruments, and other Official documents are also circulated with the Gazette on a regular basis.

What is the authority behind the Gazette?

The Gazette Authority is derived from the Gazette (Authorisation) Act, (Cap. 31).

How often is it printed?

Ordinary editions of the Official Gazette are published weekly on Thursdays. Extraordinary editions of the Gazette are published as needed.

What are the notice rates?

You may place a notice of any length for $25 per insertion. There is no fee for notices inserted by Government departments and agencies.

How does one place a notice?

Log onto the Official Gazette website (www.bvigazette.org) and submit your notice on-line. Payments are made through a secure, third-party payment system and may be made with a major credit card or Pay Pal account.

You may also write to the Gazette Office, c/o Passport Office, Central Administration Complex, Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. Please enclose a cheque for the notice fee.
