The Deputy Governor's Office provides policy advice; provides Constitutional and Legislative Management; coordinates the consulations of top management; coordinates policy development; manages the activities of the Public Sector Development Programme; organises protocol and ceremonies; adminsiters publication of the Official Gazette; issues temporary liquor licences; issues permission to undertake games of chance; sells the Laws of the British Virgin Islands; executes Apostilles under the Hague Convention; and provides support services to the Complaints Commission.

The departments under the Deputy Governor’s Office are divided into three broad groups: Governance, National Security and Courts. Under Governance we provide support services to the Governor and Executive Council; assist the Governor in the administering of his special responsibilities under the Constitution; we also provide support services to the Legislative Council; provide legal advice and prosecution services; supply audit services to government and its enterprises; manage the human resources of the Central Government; provide training services for the civil service and provide civil registration and identity services. Under National Security, we administer the full range of police services; and provide disaster management services. We further provide magistrate/district court services as well as High and Appellant Court Services.
